Will Ferrari be able to fight for pole in Canada after these modifications?

Ferrari came out swinging in the third free practice session in Montreal, with Charles Leclerc finishing just 78 thousandths behind McLaren’s Lando Norris—despite having missed nearly all of Friday’s running due to his crash in FP1.

A strong performance from Lewis Hamilton as well, who finished fourth behind his teammate and George Russell, just 251 thousandths off the pace.

Just before FP3, the Italian team’s mechanics replaced several Power Unit components, starting with a new internal combustion engine (ICE), having already used two so far.

The same applies to the turbocharger (TC), MGU-H and MGU-K, both of which were replaced on both cars.

Finally, the mechanics installed a new exhaust system (EX), having already used three throughout the season so far.

Will the new Power Unit components be enough to fight with McLaren for pole position? We will find out soon
