Vettel: "I'm glad I can put this behind me"

For Sebastian Vettel, his last race for Ferrari was one to be quickly forgotten, yet it was a special weekend for the German.

“Then we could have also talked after Austria, then you would have had that feeling,” says Vettel in response to a question asked on Ziggo Sport. “This season was of course very bad for many reasons. I'm glad I can put this behind me. ”

The team chose not to make a pit stop during the virtual safety car. As a result he stayed in the top 10 with teammate Leclerc for awhile. In the end, however, he had to settle for 14th place after a later pit stop.

“It was a special day that I will remember. I won't really remember the race itself, but I will remember the [moments with] the mechanics with whom I spent six years of my life. I am going to miss them," Vettel added.
