A lot has been made over Red Bull’s change from Renault engines to Honda engines, and nobody really knows how they will fare with the Japanese manufacturer.
Max Verstappen, winner of two races this season seems to think that Red Bull will be more competitive in 2019 with the Honda power unit.
Red Bull team boss Christian Horner and Helmut Marko have been singing the praises of Honda whilst taken snide jabs at Renault, who have been Red Bull’s engine suppliers for 12 years, including the golden period of Red Bull Racing, where the team and Sebastian Vettel won four constructors’ and drivers’ titles in a row between 2010 and 2013.
And Verstappen has echoed their words, telling Ziggo Sport: "We hope so, of course, but we have to wait and see what the start of the season will look like. I believe we will make another step forward, just with the engine alone."
