Max Verstappen had little desire to reflect on the incident with Lando Norris after the Mexico Grand Prix. The 20 seconds were a lot, but Verstappen felt Red Bull's lack of pace was a bigger problem.
"20 seconds is a lot, but I'm not going to cry about it and I'm also not going to share my opinion. The biggest problem that I have is that today was a bad day in terms of race pace. That was quite clear again on the mediums and on the hard tyres," Verstappen revealed after the race in Mexico.

Verstappen on the duel with Norris

On the incidents themselves, Verstappen didn't really want to go into detail. "I just felt that turn 4 was a bit more of a question mark. Turn 7 is what it is.
So, that's it. Honestly, those two things are also not my problem. The problem is that we are too slow and that's why I'm being put in those kind of positions. That is my problem,"
he continued. While Lando Norris was unapologetic about the duel with Verstappen, according to Verstappen, there is little to worry about. "We didn't touch. We're just racing hard."
The rules were discussed at length in Mexico. "At the end of the day, everyone speaks for themselves. Of course, can the rules be better? Maybe yes, maybe not, it's always the same thing," Verstappen added. "I just drive how I think I have to drive, last week that was all right, this week 20 second penalty, it’s what it is, life goes on, you know?"
