AlphaTauri gets €5,000 fine over 'unsafe release' of De Vries

Nyck de Vries did not progress beyond Q3 in qualifying for the British Grand Prix. The Dutchman was sent back onto the track by his team at an irresponsible moment. The AlphaTauri driver did not see colleague Oscar Piastri driving in the pit lane and almost collided with him.

AlphaTauri will therefore face a fine from the stewards. This fine amounts to €5,000. Nyck de Vries did not see Piastri drive at all because he was so low on the surface. Watch the penalty imposed by the steward De Vries and AlphaTauri here.
