During the race, a virtual World Championship standings were already given in which Max Verstappen was credited with 25 points. Everyone thought it was a mistake, but in the post-race interviews, it reverberated through the speakers that the 25-year-old driver had become world champion for the second time. Verstappen himself was also confused.
Stepping out of his RB18, he thought he had to win the World Championship title in the United States, but then came the confirmation that he already has the championship. In the cooldown room, Verstappen still thinks he is not champion, only to be told there again that he is sure of the title. Bizarre footage.
