'Hamilton gets help from unlikely party in possible MotoGP team takeover'

Lewis Hamilton is reportedly still keen on investing in a MotoGP team. Alessandro Alunni Bravi, the outgoing team representative of Sauber, is said to be willing to offer assistance to help the Ferrari driver achieve this goal.

Last year, multiple reports emerged about Lewis Hamilton's interest in purchasing a MotoGP team. Initially, Gresini Racing, a satellite team of Ducati, was linked to the Formula 1 star. However, nothing concrete came of this, and later in the year, Hamilton seemed to enter talks with KTM about a potential takeover, as confirmed by Pit Beirer, team boss of Red Bull KTM.

According to Italy's La Gazzetta dello Sport, Hamilton would be assisted by Alunni Bravi in his bid to buy a MotoGP team. His legal background would come in handy. The rumours cannot be confirmed, but Hamilton's interest in the highest class of motorsport is clear.

Much of Hamilton's potential involvement may depend on the European Commission, as there is an ongoing investigation into Liberty Media's takeover of MotoGP. The owner of Formula 1 also seeks to acquire MotoGP, but the question remains whether this would create an unfair monopoly. The investigation is delaying the takeover, and approval is far from certain.
