Would Verstappen rather win at Zandvoort or Spa? 'That's my motivation'

Max Verstappen may not start the Belgian Grand Prix from pole position for a change. The Dutchman collected his grid penalty at Spa-Francorchamps and will start in sixth place during the race. Nevertheless, the 25-year-old Red Bull driver has no intention of just handing over the win.
He explains that winning in Belgium (despite his sixth starting position) is still not an impossible goal. "Last year we started 14. I think this year the car is better. So I'm still targeting to win the race for sure," said the determined Verstappen.

Zandvoort or Spa-Francorchamps?

"I think it's important to try and win everywhere. For me, it would be weird if I want to win more here or in Zandvoort. It's nice and I really appreciate all the support I have, but I want to win on any track because that's my motivation all the time," Verstappen told reporters after qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix.
"I want to do the best I can. But for sure when you have all the fans around the track supporting you, it brings a big smile on my face, and it makes the weekend a bit more enjoyable for sure," said the Dutchman who sees Charles Leclerc, Sergio Perez, Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz and Oscar Piastri starting ahead of him during the race.
