Here's why Kelly Piquet was not with Verstappen at the Bahrain Grand Prix

Max Verstappen's girlfriend Kelly Piquet was not present at the Bahrain Grand Prix last weekend and did not see her lover secure his first Formula 1 victory of the year. However, the Brazilian had a good reason for that.

Verstappen has been in a relationship with Kelly Piquet, daughter of three-time F1 world champion Nelson Piquet, for a few years now. Ahead of the first GP of the year, Verstappen's girlfriend posted another picture on her Instagram, showing the couple together in Bahrain. At the race weekend itself, however, she was not present.

Kelly's absence was due to her professional commitments: as she was in Paris, attending Paris Fashion Week. The event takes place from Monday 26 February to Tuesday 5 March and is considered one of the highlights of the year for the fashion world. Earlier, Kelly attended Haute Couture Week in Paris. On social media, she shared several snaps of her outfits during the fashion events.
