After securing Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon for many years, Williams has once again made a significant move. Earlier in the day, the British team announced that James Vowles had been signed for an extended period. Team boss Vowles is particularly happy about this.

"I am delighted to sign a new contract with Atlassian Williams Racing," he said after the news of his new contract was announced. "Which has felt like home from the moment I walked through the door. This iconic team has already given me some incredible memories, and we are all united in our ambition to build on our legacy and win World Championships again."
"Over the past two years, we have focused on fixing the foundations, and now have a platform to go for glory in the years to come.”

Williams 'Feels the Momentum'

Williams is currently focusing almost entirely on 2026, when the new technical regulations come into effect. By focusing on this, the team hopes to possibly compete for Grand Prix victories.

Matthew Savage, the chairman of Atlassian Williams Racing and team owner Dorilton Capital, was just as pleased with Vowles staying: "We are thrilled that James has signed a new contract with Atlassian Williams Racing and committed his future to completing the mission that we are on together."
