Is the start time of the Australian Grand Prix still in jeopardy?

Initial weather forecasts for the Australian Grand Prix indicated a lot of rain during the race. As a result, the FIA, F1 and the organisers sat down to discuss a possible alternative start time. However, this does not look like it will occur after all.
With today's Formula 1 cars, when heavy rain falls, it is not a good combination. Despite wet weather tyres, it is still very dangerous for drivers to take to the track in wet conditions, with lots of spray resulting in low visibility and little grip. Consequently, race organisers often choose to postpone sessions when it is raining heavily.

What will happen to the start time of the Australian Grand Prix?

Initially, a lot of rain was predicted for the Australian Grand Prix. However, as the Grand Prix gets closer and closer, the forecasts are becoming more accurate. The heaviest of the rain will fall on Sunday morning. Towards the start of the race, it will continue to rain, but a lot less.
Despite the fact that the governing bodies of the pinnacle of motorsport have looked at the possibilities of using an alternative start time, this does not seem necessary. Indeed, earlier in the day, there is a lot more rain, and a shuffling of the schedule will be tricky, with the other racing classes running in Melbourne and the Chinese Grand Prix following next week.
