Villeneuve predicts challenge for Leclerc: 'Sainz is fast and mature'

In an interview celebrating his 50th birthday, former Formula One driver Jacques Villeneuve has been looking at the current state of Ferrari, and has predicted the battle he believes will take place between the Italian racing stable's two drivers.
In conversation with the Italian La Gazzetta Dello Sport the Canadian stated that Carlos Sainz, the newest addition to the Scuderia, could shake up the relations within the team. "I'm curious to see Sainz, who is very mature and fast."
Sainz's upbringing also gives him an advantage within Ferrari, argued the Formula One and Indy 500 winner: "He has more experience, and he enjoys the education of his father who is a skilled politician and that goes well with what goes on in there."
Challenge for Leclerc
For the past few seasons Leclerc has enjoyed the benefit of Sebastian Vettel's poor form, Villeneuve also knows: "In recent years we have seen Leclerc beat Vettel, but Seb was not in his mind."

"Now for Charles it's time to wake up he has to take a step to show if he can fight with the champions or if he's just a fast driver."
