Sebastian Vettel may have raced admirably in Austria, but the German has admitted it was an "almost weekend" and rued the issues the team had on Saturday which caused him to start ninth on the grid.
After failing to get out of the garage for Q3, Vettel failed to set a time meaning he started ninth, avoiding P10 thanks to a penalty to Kevin Magnussen. The German made a great start to the Austrian Grand Prix and went onto overtake Lewis Hamilton to finish fourth.
Despite some smart racing, the German rued the frustrating qualifying session and felt the team deserved both cars on the podium.
"It was an almost weekend - that's probably the right word. Obviously, yesterday hurt us with the pace that we had today. Otherwise, we could have had a better race, working better as a team and defending to the cars behind but it wasn't the case," Vettel told Rachel Brookes on Sky.
"It was fun, there was some wheel to wheel at the start and at the end. I'm not entirely happy as I felt the team deserved to have both cars on the podium, with one on the top.

"This track is more in our favour than other tracks so we need to keep working but I'm quite positive that at some point we'll have the car to win."
