Verstappen: 'Yesterday was not a good day'

For Max Verstappen, the sprint race was something unusual. The World Champion has been dominating this season, but during the sprint Red Bull was nowhere. On the mediums, he was even passed by George Russell, Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz.

Red Bull Racing looks to be the underdog in Brazil. Mercedes finished first and second Saturday, and thus starts on the front row of the grid. Or will Brazilian fans still see the Red Bull team perform this Sunday as so often this season? "We will try," Verstappen said during the drivers' parade. "Yesterday was not a good day. Verstappen was not happy, Lando Norris had it even worse. The Englishman complained after the sprint race about his McLaren, which he called terrible. "I expect the same," he said on the parade. During the parade, there were also happy faces. Kevin Magnussen, for example, was still enjoying the day before. "It was great. Pole, the race I had yesterday. We scored a point. So far it's been good," said the Dane.
