Max Verstappen has travelled closer to the Nürburgring circuit, further strengthening reports that he will be participating in the NLS double-header.
The Red Bull Racing Formula 1 driver has seen his name dominate the spotlight ahead of this weekend’s ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series. The four-time world champion, who has never hidden his affinity for endurance racing, is rumoured to be set to compete in this weekend’s GT3 race around the iconic circuit.
However, if these rumours were initially taken with a pinch of salt, the recent movement of Verstappen’s jet may have just offered subtle confirmation.
The Dassault Falcon 8X owned by the Red Bull driver has just arrived in Allner, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, the closest private airport to the Nürburgring circuit. The arrival of his jet even closer to the circuit subtly adds to speculation that he is set to race around the 20.8 km track.

Verstappen’s outing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife

While it is widely expected that Max Verstappen will compete in this weekend’s doubleheader at the ‘Green Hell’, the 27-year-old could see his weekend take a slightly different trajectory than many anticipated.
Verstappen is expected to participate in the GT4 category during the Saturday session of the weekend-long event due to licensing issues in the endurance racing category. The Formula 1 driver would be required to complete at least 14 laps in two cars that have a qualified result for a GT3 permit.
Verstappen’s reported appearance at the Nürburgring Nordschleife has continued to gain traction. Earlier, the circuit announced on its social media that fans should arrive at the race weekend relatively early due to potential traffic issues and other unforeseen problems.
During his last visit for a test at the circuit in May, Verstappen eclipsed the lap record at the circuit.
