Max Verstappen has realized that it's time to hit the reset button for his season in Montréal, as the Dutchman has had a very unfortunate season so far up until this point.
When asked by Journal de Montréal how he would describe his own season so far, Verstappen was more nuanced than the press has been.
"I wouldn't describe the start of the season as frustrating, but as unfortunate," he explained.
"That's why it's important that we pick ourselves up and consistently get the same results as in the last two seasons.
"It's also important that we have the materials to follow the leaders, but that's not the case yet."

Red Bull will have a small upgrade package in Canada, but that won't solve any major issues. Red Bull head designer Adrian Newey has said that the upgrades will shave off about a tenth of a second per lap.
"I definitely expect somewhat of an improvement," Verstappen countered that.
"It's always good news when you have more horsepower available.
"We'll see during the free practices how the rest of the car reacts to the changes to the engine."
