Max Verstappen reminded the Formula 1 grid of how quick he was as he stormed to a dominant victory at the Italian Grand Prix. The Red Bull Racing driver recorded his biggest race-winning margin of the season so far, and the Formula 1 community continues to buzz about it.
The Dutch driver, who started the Monza race on pole position, was involved in an early-lap battle with McLaren’s Lando Norris.
However, after he overtook the British driver on the fourth lap, it appeared to be a race of how many seconds Verstappen could eke out rather than whether he was certain of victory.
Indeed, the four-time world champion posted a time staggering enough to raise eyebrows among several drivers on the grid. A remarkable 19.3-second gap separated him from second place at the Monza race.
