Verstappen congratulates his number one mechanic

It was Max Verstappen's number one mechanic's birthday. Leeroy, or Lee, Stevenson turned 37 and that didn't go unnoticed by the Dutchman. In his slow lap on the Monza circuit, Verstappen takes plenty of time to congratulate Stevenson.

In the video below you can see that Verstappen is on the road when he congratulates his mechanic. The Dutchman makes use of the tricks he and his team have been playing over the past races on the on-board radio.

Once again, Verstappen shows that he can have a quiet conversation on a busy F1 track: "I would like to wish Leeroy a happy 40th birthday. Normally you have to dehydrate (read: drink beer) on such a day. Unfortunately, we have to keep hydrating".

In the middle of his congratulations, Verstappen is interrupted: "Magnussen behind you, Magnussen behind you". Take a look at the on-board images below.
