Verstappen never gets bored: 'With Penelope, there's always atmosphere'

Max Verstappen, says he is never bored at home. The Dutchman, who has just won the virtual 24 hours of Daytona, will be preparing for the upcoming Formula 1 season. In an interview with Formule1.nl, the three-time F1 World Champion explains about his life at home during the winter break.

Last season, Verstappen sang along to Tom Jones' song 'Green Green Grass of Home' after his victory in Brazil. The song was often played in the bus when he drove to and from various kart races with father Jos Verstappen. The Dutchman doesn't really listen to music: "Actually very little, at home it's mainly the TV that's on. For the atmosphere I don't need to have music on," said Verstappen. He continued: "There is always atmosphere with little Penelope running around or the cats terrorising each other."

Many will have already seen adorable images of interactions between Verstappen and Kelly Piquet's daughter, Penelope Kvyat. So, as you might expect, Penelope is also the daughter of driver Daniil Kvyat. The two were together from 2017 to 2019 and had baby daughter Penelope together. Since 2020, Piquet has been with Verstappen. That the Dutchman has a good relationship with Penelope is no longer a secret. It can also be seen in these cute images.
