It is perhaps the most talked about incident of the current Formula 1 season: the crash of Max Verstappen as a result of his collision with Lewis Hamilton in Silverstone. Verstappen suffered a 51G blow which, according to Christian Horner, caused him to briefly lose consciousness.
There was silence on the Dutchman's on-board radio shortly after the impact, followed by little more than groans when his engineer asked him if he was OK. Looking back on the incident, team boss Christian Horner shares new information about that moment.

According to Horner, Verstappen was briefly unconscious

"Understandably he was hugely frustrated with the outcome at Silverstone because he had done all the hard work," the Red Bull team boss told Channel 4. "He had won the sprint race, started on pole during the race and held the start."
"It got pretty tasty down the Wellington Straight and then of course there was the crash," continued the Briton. "It was a massive accident. It broke the seat and I think it knocked him out. It was for sure the biggest crash of his career."
