Verstappen lashes out at Pirelli's range of compounds

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has called out Pirelli by saying that the tyre compounds should be way simpler, as the fans don't care about tyre selection.
This season, two new compounds were added to the five compounds that were already available; hyper-softs and super-hard (both of which we haven't seen in action yet). This now makes a total of seven compounds, which is too much according to Verstappen.
"I would only like to see a soft and a hard tyre [at races]," the 20-year-old said.
"Ultimately people don't have to know if it's ultra-soft or super-soft.
"When you go to a track and you take an ultrasoft and a soft, then you call the ultrasoft a soft one and the soft one will be the hard tyre.

"I think people don't care how soft the tyre really is."
A fair point from the Dutchman. There's certainly a lot of casual fans who don't understand the complexity of the seven compounds, which would make a clear distinction like Verstappen says, a good alternative of presenting it.
