Verstappen has some making up to do with Piquet after forgetting Brazilian Valentine's Day

After the off-week, Formula 1 arrived in Montreal, where the Canadian Grand Prix will take place this coming weekend, which kicked off last Thursday with the traditional media day, during which Verstappen also found himself in front of the microphones, which in turn led to a hilarious moment.

During Verstappen's press session, one of the journalists present asked if the Dutchman was aware that it was Valentine's Day in Brazil. He responded with a laugh that he had found out just a bit too late. Unfortunately, nothing more than a phone call was in play for the Brazilian Kelly Piquet, Verstappen’s girlfriend and mother of their daughter together Lily.

"FaceTime saved me," Verstappen laughed."I didn't know there were two different Valentine's Days. For us, it's on February 14," explained the Dutchman. Fortunately, it wasn't a big deal. "We survived!"
