Verstappen happy with Q3 after 'tricky' weekend: 'It was a lot of fun'

Max Verstappen was obviously happy with the result after qualifying. The Dutchman was by far the fastest of everyone in Q3 and took pole. Behind him were Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez.

"A bit unexpected today in qualifying but very happy with Q3. Both of those laps felt very nice and it was enjoyable," Verstappen said of the two laps in Q3. ""A bit of a tricky weekend so far, but we managed to be there at the end, so very happy with that."

Verstappen expects a very strategic race on Sunday, with Ferrari so close. "Yes, the Ferraris seem quick on the long runs, so a bit of a question mark for tomorrow, but I guess that makes it exciting," the Dutchman concluded.
