Max Verstappen has a clear message for his team after the Bahrain Grand Prix. In an interview with Viaplay, the Dutchman addressed the issues he experienced during the race in the Middle East.

Verstappen frustrated after Bahrain GP

When asked how frustrating his day was, Verstappen replied: “Yes, nothing went well. Poor start. Yes, then that first pit stop. I don't know what happened there. The lights stayed on. Normally, you can't leave according to our protocol. But I think something went wrong with the button. So, there you are stuck in traffic again.
Verstappen continued: “The hard tires were also not working well at all. Then back in, thinking: ‘Hopefully a good stop’. That was even worse. Then you're even further in traffic. I think I was last at that point, so that was really nice. Then with the safety car, I think. To finish sixth after that, we did well. But no pace at all, completely zero.
Next weekend, the race will be in Saudi Arabia. Verstappen already expressed his expectations: “Normally, there should be less tire degradation there. So, it should naturally be a bit better. But here you can see our real issues. It's very hard on these types of circuits. But we are always chasing the facts.

When Verstappen was reminded that there was a lot to discuss with his team, he replied: “For you," adding that he was in no hurry to discuss anything with Red Bull. “Yes, not at the moment. I'm not interested in that.”
