Verstappen joins unique list of drivers with 50th F1 victory

Max Verstappen places himself in a unique league with his 50th victory in Formula 1. The United States Grand Prix ensures that Verstappen has only four drivers ahead of him.

Verstappen achieved his 50th Grand Prix victory in Austin. The Dutchman was already fifth in the list of the drivers with the most wins and now joins the four other drivers who managed 50 wins or more.

Verstappen is just above Alain Prost, who managed 51 victories. Verstappen could pass the Frenchman on the list in Brazil at the earliest. Sebastian Vettel is third with 53 wins. Verstappen can surpass him only if he wins every race during the rest of the 2023 Formula 1 season.

To reach the top of the list, Verstappen needs to continue in Formula 1 for a while. Michael Schumacher achieved 91 victories, Lewis Hamilton sits as high as 103 victories, and the Briton is the only one still active above Verstappen.
