The FIA say qualifying is estimated to start at 17:00 local time. This will be 20:00 in the United Kingdom. The start of qualifying has been delayed due to heavy rain around the circuit.
Originally, qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix was supposed to start at 18:00 UK time. The track was far too wet. The start was initially delayed by half an hour.
After about 20 minutes, the medical car lapped the track to test conditions and provide feedback.
