During SQ1 Yuki Tsunoda Found himself unable to advance to the next part of the qualifying session. However, it wasn't due to a poor performance by the Japanese driver, but rather to a misscomunication at Red Bull Racing.
Tsunoda, as he was starting his lap, found teammate Max Verstappen ahead, and braked to let the Dutchman go. Nevertheless, Verstappen then bolted to the pits.
As Tsunoda tried to get on with it, he found himself with not enough time to get across the flag and improve on his lap time, thus falling in SQ1.
George Russell led the session ahead of teammate Andrea Kimi Antonelli with Verstappen placing P7 even after bailing on his lap.
