Yuki Tsunoda had a shaky weekend in Azerbaijan, but eventually managed to score one point in the main race. The Japanese driver is happy with the point and thinks his team did a fantastic job.
AlphaTauri had a tough start to season, the AT04 lacking speed. In Azerbaijan, the AlphaTauri suddenly seemed a lot more competitive, but mistakes by both drivers overshadowed this a bit.

Tsunoda satisfied

Tsunoda had a mixed weekend. The AlphaTauri driver hit the wall in the only free practice session, forcing him to miss much of practice. Nevertheless, later that Friday, Tsunoda managed to qualify his AT04 on a neat P8. Saturday went dramatically for the Japanese: he crashed with his teammate Nyck de Vries in the sprint. In the main race, Tsunoda turned his weekend around and the young driver managed to turn his good starting position into one point.
"I think the team did a fantastic job to make a really good car. Especially, we didn't have much session time to prepare a good race car because we didn't have any laps, which is my fault. I'm able to score at least a point and say, you know, at least, we have to continue like this," Tsunoda told GPblog and others.
