Toto Wolff doubts Mercedes can dominate again in 2020

Toto Wolff does not believe that Mercedes will be able to take control of the championship next season as Ferrari and Aston Martin Red Bull Racing look to catch up and challenge the Silver Arrows.

Mercedes have been in complete control since 2014, winning every championship available to them. 2020 is the final year before the massive rules shake-up, so Mercedes are entering the year as clear favourites for both titles once again, although Wolff doesn't see it like that.

He told the F1 website: “I don’t think we are going to see the kind of 10 race wins or 12 race wins per team for next season any more – but obviously we will be trying everything to optimise our weaknesses and continue to perform well.”

To put that statement into context, Mercedes won 15 of the 21 races last season, including nine 1-2 finishes.
