FIA President Jean Todt has said that ‘it’s great that more history has been included’ in Formula 1 after the return of the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort was announced.
The circuit in the Netherlands that. Is located by the beachside last hosted the Dutch GP back in 1985 and is set to make a return next year.
Niki Lauda, who tragically passed away earlier today, was the last driver to win there before it was dropped from the calendar.
Todt paid a visit to the circuit last weekend for an event in which countryman Max Verstappen demonstrated an F1 car with many fans supporting him.
Todt said to De Telegraaf newspaper: "Zandvoort is a real old-school circuit and it's great that more history has been included on the Formula 1 calendar.

"That is why it is good that the Dutch GP is coming back."
The Frenchman also praised the Verstappen and his so far career in F1.
"He has the genes of his father and of his mother, so he is very talented and has the passion that comes with a great driver," he added.
