Bortoleto unaware of Verstappen-Russell clash

Speaking to GPblog and others, Bortoleto didn't know the race results. "Who won the race actually?," he asked to the journalists present. When hearing about the McLaren 1-2 and Charles Leclerc's P3, he asked about Verstappen's finishing position.

"And Max finished?," was the Brazilian's next question. When he was told Verstappen had placed 10th he was surprised. "Yeah, but before the banner?" It was at this moment he learned of the clash between the Dutchman and Russell. ‘He crashed into Russell? Interesting, interesting,’’ was the Brazilian's response.

Max Verstappen was demoted to P10 when the race Stewards added 10 seconds to his race time as penalty for the crash with Russell, for which the Dutchman apologised a day later.

Furthermore, the crash also resulted in him getting three more penalty points added to his super licence. If Verstappen receives one more he will accrue the full 12 points which warrant a race ban.
