Aston Martin is a happy Mercedes customer: 'We buy a lot from them'

Aston Martin team boss Mike Krack says happy to be Mercedes' customer team. The Luxembourger tells the press conference in Australia about the close cooperation between the two Formula 1 team.

Red Bull men Sergio Perez and Christian Horner have regularly hinted, albeit with a wink, at the similarities between the RB19 and the Aston Martin of Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso. But surely the British are buying parts from the German racing stable and not the formation from Austria. According to Krack, it remains to be seen whether his team will continue to buy parts from Mercedes in the future: "This is something that we need to see over the next years. What are the parts that we are buying? At the moment we are buying quite a lot", he says honestly.

The ambition is to eventually develop more parts ourselves. "We need to look at how we can structure ourselves to be able to do that" says the team boss. For now, Aston Martin is very happy with Wolff & co's services. "We are quite happy with what we have at this point. The service is excellent, what we are getting? So everything is fine, and we are not too preoccupied.”
