The second free practice session for the E-Prix of Germany is over. Home driver Maximilian Günther set the fastest time, but the differences with the drivers behind him are small.

Many drivers not present at E-Prix Germany due to WEC

Because the programme of the electric racing class coincides with that of the WEC this weekend, many drivers will not be taking part in the Berlin E-Prix this weekend. This is because the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps is also taking place, with many drivers choosing to race at Spa instead. Dutch drivers Nyck de Vries and Robin Frijns are both missing the weekend in Berlin, as well as Frijns' Envision teammate Sebastian Buemi. Nico Muller in the ABT Cupra is also attending WEC this weekend.
In FP2, Günther set the fastest time with a 1:02:177, but the differences at the front are small. Lucas di Grassi, for example, was only 0.012 seconds slower than the German. Pascal Wehrlein and Edoardo Mortara also found themselves within a tenth of the Maserati driver.
Jordan King, who has replaced De Vries' for the weekend, is at a greater distance from the number one. The former Formula 2 driver was fifteenth, with a time 0.458 seconds slower than Günter's. Both Envision replacements, Paul Aron and Joel Eriksson, were slightly slower, finishing FP2 in 20th and 22nd place, respectively.
