It was announced on Wednesday that Guenther Steiner's contract at Haas F1 Team would not be renewed. The Italian told the Autosport International event that he had not yet been able to properly say goodbye to everyone in the team.
Steiner had been team boss of the Haas team in Formula 1 since its inception. He became a sensation in the Netflix series Drive to Survive, due to the funny moments that emerged in the series. So next year, we will not see the Italian in action as team boss. In 2024, Ayao Komatsu will fill that role.

Steiner is disappointed

Steiner spoke to Sky Sports F1 commentator David Croft at the event in Birmingham. During the interview, he had another message for his old colleagues: "I didn't have the chance to say thank you to a few people when I left Haas F1. I would just like to thank all the team members who I couldn't give a proper goodbye to when I left. So I’ll do it this way."
The Italian former team principall believes that a farewell has to be this way: "Yes, it stung [not to be able to say goodbye] but they all know me and they all know that I appreciate what they did. It's always best to say it to them, it would be nice to say, ‘hey guys, thanks for what you did for the team'."
