Statistical research: Hamilton best F1 driver ever

According to the British website Money.co.uk, Lewis Hamilton is statistically the best Formula 1 driver of all time. In a large study, the website compares all drivers from the 70 years that the sport has existed.
In order to answer the question who is the best driver of all time, Money.co.uk uses a number of variables to calculate a score. The variables include the percentage of victory per start, the number of championships won, the number of points per race start and the average number of points scored compared to the teammate.

Hamilton the best

When everything adds up and everything is set against each other, Lewis Hamilton is crowned best of all time with a score of 92.8 on a scale from 1 to 100. In second place is Juan Manuel Fangio, with a score of 91.6. Michael Schumacher completes the stage with a score of 86.4.
Of the current Formula 1 drivers, only four are in the top 50. Sebastian Vettel is in ninth place and Kimi Raikkonen is in 33rd place. Max Verstappen has also reached the ranking. He finished in 46th place. If you want to see the complete list, click here.
