Following Max Verstappen's comments during the qualifying press conference, Ted Kravitz suggested that the Red Bull Racing driver could use that anger for good.
While Verstappen had a better practice session on Saturday that joy was short-lived due to the fact that he was unable to put it on pole.
After qualifying second, he was once again asked about his penalty points. To which Verstappen said, "I don't need to hear it again. It's really pissing me off. I mean, you're speaking about it on Thursday, it's such a waste of time. It's very childish."
On Ted's Notebook for Sky Sports, Kravitz said, "Max Verstappen second, Yuki Tsunoda eleventh plus a 10-place grid penalty is going to be twentieth. You might as well be starting from downtown Montreal."

'Classic Max' in Canada

"Classic Max" He continued, "under fire going into the weekend because of everything that happened in Spain. He was under fire heading into the weekend because of everything that happened in Spain, and he was angry. And when Tom Clarkson asked him about those penalty points during the press conference, he got angry again.”
However, the Brit believes that this anger could actually work in the four-time world champion’s favour. “But when will we learn: an angry Max is a fast and motivated Max. And he’s been on it all weekend, in a car that rewards him. The only Red Bull that's being rewarded, considering Tsunoda has to start from the back of the grid.”
During the Spanish Grand Prix, Verstappen collided with Russell, which prompted more penalty points that have now put him on the edge of a race ban.
Kravitz said, "When Tom Clarkson asked him in the press conference about those penalty points, He was cross again, but when will we ever learn a cross Max is a fast max and a motivated Max."
"He's been absolutely on it all weekend in a car that is rewarding him - the only Red Bull that's really rewarding him, given that Yuki Tsunoda is going to start at the back of the grid."

Max Verstappen was not exactly happy in the press conference on Saturday.

He then gave Verstappen some praise for his improvement over the weekend. He said, "Classic Max, good Friday. Found time whenever he was on the track, which is impressive because not many other people did that, and was pipped to the pole by 0.160 by George Russell."
"Great opportunity that Max Verstappen has versus McLaren when you consider that George Russell, who's on pole, is probably not even further out of championship contention than Max Verstappen."
Verstappen is 49 points down from Oscar piastri while Russell is 75 points off of the lead.

Kravitz concluded, "But seeing as everyone else thinks that Max Verstappen is in championship contention, then that's a great opportunity for him."
