Second FP2 red flag: Piastri hits the wall!

After several incidents like Charles Leclerc's and Lance Stroll's FP1 crash, and Isack Hadjar's run in with the railing at the Nouvelle chicane, it was now Oscar Piastri's turn.

As the Australian made his way through the first corner, despite forcefully locking the brakes, he failed to slow down his McLaren enough and went straight on into the barriers.

His MCL39's front wing broke off and remained in the track as Piastri surprisingly back up and went on his way. Remarkable that after such a strong impact his car came out virtually unscathed.
