Sainz says goodbye to Ferrari: 'News of my future to follow'

Lewis Hamilton's arrival at Ferrari automatically means Carlos Sainz's departure from the Scuderia. Via his social media channels, the Spaniard reacts to the departure.

Sainz states, "Following today's news, Scuderia Ferrari and myself will part ways at the end of 2024. We still have a long season ahead of us and, like always, I will give my absolute best for the Team and for the Tifosi all around the world. News about my future will be announced in due course," Sainz said.

Sainz has long been linked with Audi, which will be active in Formula 1 from 2026. Perhaps Mercedes is also now an option for the Spaniard, whose previous contracts include Red Bull and McLaren.
