Sainz has his goals in focus: 'I want to win more'

After winter testing over the past few days, Red Bull Racing came out on top. Red Bull finished on top for two of the three sessions. Although these results are not yet decisive, Carlos Sainz does feel that Red Bull are again showing that they have a lot to offer.

Ferrari experienced a fine winter test, testing many different components and setups. In an interview with planetf1.com he revealed that Ferrari wants to get closer and closer to the car of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.

"We are trying to get closer to Red Bull on the straights. I hope we get closer. Whether we are going to be faster on the straights? No idea." Still, test days should be taken with a grain of salt, as these are just the test days, where teams try things to get more data. So it is not yet a real harbinger of the new season.

However, Sainz does want to do better than last season, his goal is simple: "I want to win more." Yet he adds some nuance: "I want to try more to really compete up there. To give Ferrari more wins, more good moments and to make the guests at the factory smile."
