Russell wants to fight for wins after summer break: "Getting better"

George Russell started the Hungarian Grand Prix from pole position and held on to this position for almost half the race, but he was eventually beaten by Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

The race started strongly for Russell, but halfway through he was outsmarted by Charles Leclerc. After this, the Mercedes driver's pace seemed to drop a little. "It was a good first stint then on the last stint on mediums when it rained I started to struggle and lost temperature," Russell explained after the race.

The Briton is especially pleased with another double podium for Mercedes, although he ultimately had to beat his teammate. "Another double podium so great from the team.
