George Russell suffered a minor hiccup with his W17, something Mercedes later chose to joke about.
Mercedes’ social media team poked fun at the incident by sharing a light-hearted video of George Russell sitting down with an ice pack strapped to his shin.
The British driver had accidentally clipped the bargeboard of the W17 in that exact area, leaving him with a small knock but nothing serious.
“It’s quite lumpy,” Russell joked in reply to the Mercedes admin while showing the small cut on his leg, before reassuring both the team and supporters that it would heal quickly and wouldn’t pose any real problem going forward.
