Ricciardo: "Purely on pace we're the best in Monaco"

Daniel Ricciardo had a race to forget in Barcelona, but the Aussie is convinced that his team will be among the very best in two weeks time in Monaco, as the RB14 should thrive on the city circuit.

Ricciardo watched his teammate Max Verstappen climb onto the podium and thinks that the car is the problem behind that.

"We really have a good car, but our problem is consistency," he explained to Mobil 1 The Grid.

Ricciardo is known to do well on street circuits, and the Aussie also fancies his chances in Monaco.

That's a bold statement. Red Bull's long-run pace has been very good, but they've only gotten the one win out of it so far. Ricciardo will have to put on a show like he did in China to steal the Monaco Grand Prix, but we know that the Aussie is capable of doing just that.
