Full results British Grand Prix 2023 | Verstappen wins ahead of Norris

Max Verstappen had to work hard for it in the early stages of the British Grand Prix, but in the end he took his 43rd win of his career. Yet the compliments were for McLaren's two drivers. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. Norris took a podium spot, Piastri was unlucky that the safety car came at an inconvenient time. As a result, he lost third place to Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen lost first place to Norris at the start, but quickly passed the Briton again. Slowly, but steadily, the Dutchman then built the lead. It was gone in one fell swoop after a safety car arrived. But on fresh softs the Dutchman had the advantage: on the restart he got on the gas early and quickly got away from Norris. Moreover, the latter had his hands full with Hamilton, who attacked Norris.

Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso failed to impress, and thus saw Verstappen move further ahead in the championship standings.
