Red Bull and Verstappen's biggest rival? 'Still Ferrari then'

Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing have proved untouchable in the current Formula 1 season as we enter the summer break. Only Red Bull man Sergio Perez managed to keep Verstappen from victories in the past 12 races. It is clear that Red Bull has the best team and car on the grid, but who is the 'second best'? Jan Lammers has the answer.

"I still think if you go and see what the biggest common denominator is, it [Red Bull's biggest competitor] is Ferrari, after all. They are still hanging on by their nails because if you see how Leclerc has to squeeze everything out of them, they are still the most constant team behind Red Bull. That's good to see," Lammers told the NOS Formula 1 podcast.

Although the constructors' championship standings say quite a different thing, the former Formula 1 driver names Ferrari as the best team behind Red Bull Racing. The Italian Scuderia of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc is fourth in the world championship behind Red Bull, Mercedes and Aston Martin.
