David Schumacher is set to make his Formula 3 debut this weekend at Sochi. The 18-year-old Schumacher has already had some experience racing these cars in the F3 Asian Winter Series last winter and will be hoping to impress when he steps up this weekend. Alex Peroni is still injured after his crash so David Schumacher will replace him for the race.
"I am very happy to be joining such a professional team as Campos. It will be the first time for me, so we have to be realistic and above all I have to learn as much as possible," Schumacher said.
Campos team boss Adrian Campos happy to have a young Schumacher as part of the team. "I am convinced that he has a promising future ahead of motorsport. We want to help him in the further development of his career."
The young Schumacher is part of a large racing family and he will hope to emulate both his father and uncle and succeed in this race and prove that he deserves a shot in the series next season.
