Michael Schumacher's brother, Ralf Schumacher, has revealed that his father, Rolf Schumacher, actually wanted to have nothing at all to do with motorsport. Indeed, the father of one of the most successful drivers of all time told Ralf that he should do something else instead of getting into Formula 1. And Michael's success? That, according to their father, was also a problem.
In an interview with The Times, Ralf was asked about his parents' involvement in the Formula 1 adventures of brothers Michael and Ralf Schumacher. "They’re not really into motor sport. My father doesn’t like that. He prefers fishing. Even when Michael was so successful, my father always said to me: ‘Please, do something different.'"

This is what Ralf should have done according to dad Schumacher

"He wanted me to be a chef, to have a proper job and not motor racing, because you cannot make money with it," Ralf explained in the interview with the English medium. He drove in the pinnacle of motorsport between 1997 and 2007, scoring six Grand Prix victories during that time. Someone who was a lot more successful was, of course, his brother.
Indeed, Michael became world champion seven times. Yet dad Schumacher saw this as more of an incident. "Even when Michael was in Formula 1, my father said: ‘No, no, forget it. He was so lucky. One is amazing already, but two [sons] will never make it. So do something else,'" Ralf revealed during the interview.
