Raikkonen: Ferrari team orders weren't clear

Kimi Raikkonen has suggested that the team orders issued during the German Grand Prix for him to let teammate Sebastian Vettel through, were not clear. The Finn was on a two-stop strategy with Vettel on a one-stop, and subsequently, Raikkonen was asked politely to not get in the way.

Speaking in the post-race press conference. Raikkonen acknowledged that the team orders at Ferrari but said that he felt it wasn't clear this time around.

“We have certain rules but it wasn’t clear,” he said.

Despite letting his teammate pass him, his efforts were for nothing as Vettel later crashed out of the grand prix and Mercedes were able to get past Raikkonen in the ensuing chaos of the pit stops and rain phase of the race.
