Perez: "Vettel made a great decision"

Sergio Perez will make way for Sebastian Vettel at Aston Martin in 2021 but the Mexican will get a shot with Red Bull. The Mexican has admitted he believes Vettel has made a smart move.

Perez is of course happy with this opportunity from Red Bull, and is in turn happy that Vettel gets the chance at Aston Martin.

"Vettel has made a very good decision," said Perez to Formula1.com. "He comes to a team of pure racers, a place where he will definitely have a good time. He will enjoy it, and more importantly, have some fun."

Perez responded to the words of Ross Brawn, who recently said that Vettel has big shoes to fill. "I thought, it's hard to imagine that with a four-time world champion versus someone who has won one race. But on the other hand, world titles and victories don't mean everything in Formula 1, because it really depends on how good the cars you drive," Perez said.
