Sergio Pérez could not be satisfied after the British Grand Prix. The Mexican finished in 16th position and could therefore not give Red Bull Racing any points. One and a half weeks later, he looks back on the race in the press release of the Austrian racing team.
The driver is still heavily disappointed with his performance. "Silverstone was a poor weekend for me and one to forget," he states. "I enjoyed the sprint race format though, it demands a lot more from the drivers with two races and two starts. It was definitely different, that’s for sure. Now I am fully focused on Hungary and we plan to bounce back."
Pérez expects Red Bull to be able to fight for the front positions this coming weekend. "The Hungaroring is a very unique track and it’s very similar to Monaco with the high levels of downforce, it’s a very technical track. I’m looking forward to having a strong weekend at the last race before the summer holidays. That’s the only way we can have a good holiday, making sure that we have a strong weekend in Budapest."

The disappointing result meant Pérez had to relinquish his third place in the world championship to Lando Norris. Valtteri Bottas also has more points than Pérez since the race in Britain. The Finn is four points ahead of his Red Bull rival.
