Estaban Ocon believes his crash last year in FP3 has made him a better driver going into this year's instalment of the famous race.
He reckons his experience will carry him through the weekend. Speaking in his team’s race preview, he seems ready to grace to challenges.
“It’s a true driving challenge. You have to be precise and there is no room for error,” said Ocon.
“You have to find the limit quickly and be careful not to step over it. Last year I found out the hard way in FP3, but with more experience this year, I hope it won’t happen again.”
Many drivers have confirmed Monaco is the race they look forward to. The Force India driver went on to clarify he’s in the same boat despite his crash last year.

“I think everybody loves going to Monaco. It’s just a special place.
“When you think of F1, you think of Monaco. Driving on the famous streets in an F1 car was a dream come true and I’m just as excited to go back there this year.”
Force India experienced an engine issue on Ocon’s car last time out in Spain. But they are pretty certain he will avoid any grid penalty in Monte Carlo.
